Yoga is all about deepening the connection to self. Each time we show up to practice, we meet the self in the moment. Cultivating mindful awareness through aligned and purposeful action, we unlock greater spaciousness, ease, and freedom-both in our bodies and in our lives. I started to develop a regular yoga practice in 2002. Yoga has been my refuge and solace ever since: a lifeboat that has carried me through plenty of stormy seas and severe weather! I've had the great honor to study with a number of exceptional teachers to whom I owe a debt of gratitude that really can't be repaid. Chief among these, my main inspiration and local mentor Rita Knorr, certified in Anusara yoga; along with Chandrakant John Heister and Amrit Desai, who inducted me in the energetic lineage of Swami Kripalu. The teachings of self-compassion instilled by my meditation teacher Meg McLaughlin are at the very heart of my spiritual practice and work in the world. Regardless of your age, body type, creed, identity, current freedom or restriction of movement, the practice of yoga has something beautiful to bring into your life. I'm so honored to be alongside you on your path of discovery.
