Kia ora I’m Freya! My yoga journey began in 2018 as a means to complement my goals in fitness. I began to really lean into my personal practice through 2020 where I made the leap to complete my 200-hour training. Since then, I have expanded my practice to maximise the benefits that yoga offers, aiding me in achieving goals not only on but also off the mat, including ultra marathons and strength training.
Whilst my initial attraction to yoga was rooted in its physical benefits, following my teacher training I soon discovered the impact it had on my personal growth. Having found a way to cultivate a deeper understanding of what it means to be mindful, self aware and experiencing bliss
Outside of classes you will find me playing with balancing on my hands, running the local trails and spending time moving my body in any way possible.
I look forward to seeing you on the mat.

A dancer since young, I was initially drawn to yoga to improve my endurance and flexibility. I soon realised yoga wasn’t just about the physical.
The clarity and deep connection I experienced after each class was profound. Yoga has become a constant in my life and has helped me with many personal and professional transitions because of what I have learnt about myself while on the mat.
My teaching journey began after moving from New Zealand to Australia, where I felt called to share the practice that had given me so much.
I believe that if you breathe, think, and move, you can do yoga. It can be the place where the complexities of life soften, where you fall in love with the spaciousness it creates — in your body, your mind and your heart.
I’m passionate about sharing the joy of yoga and celebrating the diverse community of people who come to the mat.
I look forward to welcoming each yogi to class.

My journey with yoga began 13 years ago after the birth of my first child, and for the past 10 years I’ve had the privilege of sharing this practice with others. I’ve completed more than 500 hours of Yoga Alliance–accredited training across Ashtāṅga Vinyāsa, Ghosh, Restorative and Yin Yoga, and continue to deepen my understanding through ongoing study with respected teachers from India and around the world.
My teaching is deeply influenced by the structure and discipline of the Ashtāṅga tradition while also drawing on contemporary approaches that make the practice accessible for every body. I aim to create classes that feel grounding, intentional and welcoming, offering students the opportunity to build strength, cultivate awareness and experience yoga as more than just physical movement.
Alongside studio teaching, I facilitate trauma-sensitive yoga at two local prisons. This work is incredibly meaningful to me and reflects my belief that yoga should be accessible to everybody, regardless of their circumstances.
In addition, I’ve completed the comprehensive STOTT PILATES® Matwork certification through Be Pilates New Zealand, allowing me to expand my offerings to include Mat Pilates classes alongside yoga.

Hello, I'm CT. Teaching has always been my passion as I enjoy sharing my knowledge on anything related to our wellbeing. Yoga started off to be a challenge for me, as it requires stillness and keeping a clear mind while being on the mat. Over the years, I've grown to enjoy the discipline of the sport as the benefits could be seen in my fitness routine and my mental health. Now I would take any chance to advocate about yoga, even if it's just 1 minute of breathing exercise! I often tell people that yoga is not just about arm balances or inversions; it is about connecting within yourself, moving your body and being present. So let's flow and unwind together.
Description
Open level.
Candlelit Restorative Yoga is a gentle, healing practice designed to promote mental and physical relaxation and stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system. It involves the use of props such as blocks, bolsters and blankets, to support the body in simple, long-held poses while exerting minimal physical effort. This practice is suitable for anyone seeking to decompress from a busy day, reduce stress and anxiety, manage pain, and support their overall well-being.

Yin yoga is a practice of stretch and stillness. Using props such as blocks, blankets and a bolster to support the body within the container of the shape, we hold each pose for between two to ten minutes.
Yin targets the fascia/connective tissues that permeate our entire body, to create flexibility and space in the body, and invoke a meditative sensation for the mind.

I first stepped onto a yoga mat at 17. What started as a way to relieve my back pain soon turned into a lifelong passion. I am originally from the Czech Republic, where I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training. Four years ago, I moved to New Zealand, which I now call home.
I believe yoga is more than just a workout, it’s a journey that transforms your body and mind. Through teaching, I can share the many benefits I’ve experienced, from enhancing flexibility and relieving stress to deepening the connection with your body. In my classes, I support the harmony between mind, body, and breath, while enhancing body awareness. After all, it's not just about perfecting the pose, it’s about how you feel and grow throughout the process.
Beyond yoga, I’m passionate about nutrition, and you can often find me doing anything outdoorsy.
