Hi Iām Mel, a Fitness Coach and Class Instructor in Greater Manchester.
I specialise in coaching women to lead a healthier life by creating workout/nutrition programmes and delivering fun, energetic gym classes. As a mum of 3 with experience of pre and postpartum exercise, I am very passionate about helping women to feel more confident not just within your body, but your mind too.
Description
NOT JUST A MUM CLUB are for mums who would love to begin or get back into fitness, but don't have time with their little ones to get to a class - now you can bring them with you and enjoy the class together!
You will move your body through various programmed exercises which will also help your mental health and get you out of the house to meet other mums and babies!
You'll build strength, cardiovascular endurance and general fitness whilst taking some time JUST FOR YOU (because you deserve it mama!)
STRONG MAMA CLUB classes are a mixture of weights and bodyweight exercises tailored to postpartum recovery. There is never any pressure to do anything and you can take it at your own pace
These classes are 45 minutes in length, followed by time to hang out afterward class for a chat with the other mamas and babas. (Ticket price includes a HOT coffee/tea)
Please know that NOT JUST A MUM CLUB is a safe, welcoming group where anything goes...crying, feeding, sleeping are most definitely welcome hereā¦and not just from the babiesš
Suitable for all levels & abilitiesā¦beginners welcomed. Children of all ages welcomed.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have given birth recently, please wait until your postnatal check with your GP to start exercise. General NHS advice is 6 weeks for a vaginal birth & 12 weeks for a C-section or birth with complications.
However there is NO RUSH; rest is extremely important after birth and into the fourth trimester...So depending on your birth I advise checking in with your intuition and beginning when you feel ready. (Speak to your midwife/health visitor/doctor if youāre unsure)

Katie first discovered yoga 8 years ago when she was studying at university.
In 2016 she became more fascinated with the practice, going to classes almost every day in and around Manchester, Bikram hot yoga and Ashtanga were her go to.
Her personal practice has evolved over the years, sheās learned to listen more to her body and what she needs. āWhat I love about yoga, is that itās not about what it looks like, but more about how it feels.ā
āThe practice is your own personally journey inward, as a practitioner I am there to guide you to find out what feels good for you.ā
In 2018 I packed up my corporate life in Manchester and headed to India for 8 months of travel, seeking as much yoga as possible - it was here that I completed my 200 hour YTT. Since then I have completed a 50 hour Yin teacher training and spent 3 months in Bali delving deeper into my own personal practice.
Off the mat Katie is a bit of a travel addict, she loves seeing the world and experiencing all types of cultures and of course yoga.
In the last year Katie as been building her brand āCalm with Katieā where she combines all of her knowledge in mindset, movement and meditation to approach the world of coaching.
Her go to mantra for life is āfeel the fear and do it anywayā - encouraging herself and others to step into their power whether thatās on or off the mat.
Katieās classes are open for all levels, she offers variations throughout encouraging you to listen to your body and reminding you that this is a personal practice. I previously trained as a professional dancer and whilst in a Dance Company, I would do a whole company Pilates class each morning, where I found my love for Pilates!
I qualified as a Pilates instructor in 2021 and have been teaching for the past 3 years. I teach Mat and Small Equipment Pilates and am currently studying my Pre & Postnatal Pilates and Pilates for Common Orthopaedic Conditions.

I previously trained as a professional dancer and whilst in a Dance Company, I would do a whole company Pilates class each morning, where I found my love for Pilates!
I qualified as a Pilates instructor in 2021 and have been teaching for the past 3 years. I teach Mat and Small Equipment Pilates and am currently studying my Pre & Postnatal Pilates and Pilates for Common Orthopaedic Conditions.
I love to incorporate my knowledge of the body and muscle groups within my classes.

NOT JUST A MUM CLUB are for mums who would love to begin or get back into Pilates, but donāt have time with their little ones to get to a class - now you can bring them with you and enjoy the class together!
You will move your body through various programmed exercises which will also help your mental health and get you out of the house to meet other mums and babies!
You'll build strength, cardiovascular endurance and general fitness whilst taking some time JUST FOR YOU (because you deserve it mama!)
Pilates is a set of bodyweight exercises tailored to postpartum recovery. There is never any pressure to do anything and you can take it at your own pace
These classes are 45 minutes in length, followed by time to hang out afterward class for a chat with the other mamas and babas. (Ticket price includes a HOT coffee/tea)
Please know that NOT JUST A MUM CLUB is a safe, welcoming group where anything goes...crying, feeding, sleeping are most definitely welcome hereā¦and not just from the babiesš
Suitable for all levels & abilitiesā¦beginners welcomed. Children of all ages welcomed.

I know itās a cliche but yoga did in fact save my life! I found yoga in a time where my mental health was at an all time low.
What was a spark of curiosity ended up being totally life changing, to say the least.
My practice over time, lifted so much sadness and grief, helped me connect back to myself and rediscover joy.
Fast forward 4 years and im now a yoga teacher and breathwork facilitior- on a mission to help share the tools and messages Iāve learnt along the way, with others so that they might too find the same healing I did.
My classes show my love for movement, music, breathwork and strength building.
I guide playful yet powerful yoga classes that help you towards feeling better- inside and out. We move with intention and above all, joy. Honouring curiosity and growth yet moving at our own pace.
Rooted often in yogic Philisophy- weaving in the ancient wisdom of yoga itself to tap into our wellbeing on a deep level.

I first started my own Pilates journey around 3 years ago, I took a hot pilates class and it has been part of my life ever since.
I have always loved taking fitness classes, I find the feeling post class so rewarding. Feeling elevated both mentally and physically as well as that encouragement of being around other people and the buzz that brings.
Pilates offers variations of precise, controlled movements that strengthen and stabilise the body. Offering something for all fitness levels and form of exercise I feel caters for all capabilities.
