Alexandra Whitbeck
Hi, I’m Alexandra — yoga teacher, founder of The Nest, and a lifelong student of movement, mindfulness, and the science of well-being.
I’ve been practicing yoga for over twenty years and completed my professional teacher training here in France, alongside ongoing study in anatomy, functional movement, and evidence-based approaches to happiness and stress resilience. My many years in user experience design also shapes how I teach: clear, intentional and human-centered.
My classes blend dynamic flow with functional strength, breathwork, and modern well-being research. They’re thoughtfully sequenced, creative, and grounded in an understanding of real life — including motherhood, injury, transitions, and the various seasons of being human.
At The Nest, I teach with the belief that yoga is meditation in motion: a way to return to presence, reconnect with yourself, and build sustainable strength from the inside out. My goal is to offer classes that are empowering, accessible, fun, and joyful — a space where you can move with curiosity, breathe deeply, and let go of perfectionism.

Description
Start your year with a grounded, intentional practice.
This 90-minute session blends breathwork, journaling, reflection, and mindful movement to help you clear some space—physically and mentally—after the holiday season.
We’ll take time to check in with ourselves on paper, move through a steady vinyasa flow to reconnect with strength and ease, and close with simple restorative work to settle the mind.
Expect:
- Space to reflect and journal
- Breathing practices
- A balanced flow to warm and reset the body
- A calm, focused start to the year
Bring a notebook and pen. No pressure, no resolutions—just room to arrive and begin again.
