Valeria Venditti
Valeria (she/they) is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher with a background in queer theory, feminist philosophy (PhD, Sapienza University of Rome) and posturology (C.R.O.M.O.N., Rome). They’ve practised yoga since 2006 and taught since 2016. Their teaching is shaped by long-term practice and by studying yoga philosophy and texts through SOAS University of London and Yoga Campus (London). They also studied Ayurvedic science and massage, including Pindaswarma techniques (Atharvaveda, Rome). Valeria has trained across different approaches, including Scaravelli-inspired yoga and anatomy-informed practice (Yoga Yoss, Italy; Yoga Detour, Canada). Their work also draws on Kundalini traditions carried forward by women teachers, outside the oppressive and patriarchal legacy of many male-led lineages. They’re particularly interested in the Western reception of yoga and the history of female yoga practitioners. Classes blend Hatha yoga with Kundalini influences, slow transitions, subtle oscillations, and a lot of balance. For Valeria, yoga is a way to feel the mind and hear the body: poses are energies, and all bodies and abilities can engage in the practice.

Description

Pace: Dynamic
Level: Beginner friendly, open level

Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic yoga practice where practitioners flow through different sequences of postures while syncing movement with breath. Audrey's classes feature pranayama (breathwork) to ground and centre energy, progressive movement to stimulate the whole body, and meditation and relaxation to calm the mind. Her classes are open level and suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioners. Modifications are always offered to students allowing them to adapt their practice depending on how they may feel on a given day.
