Description
Mat Pilates is a strengthening and lengthening form of exercise that focuses on your core (trunk) muscles while also training your arms and legs. Mat Pilates is based on the original exercises Joseph Pilates developed to strengthen his own body as a very young man and then began teaching others. Mat Pilates includes over 500 exercises and can be practiced anywhere. Mat Pilates can be modified for any age, body, or fitness level.
Pilates is a mind, body, and spirit practice with benefits that include improved posture, better coordination and balance, increased lung capacity, improved concentration and focus, increased body awareness, stress management, and injury prevention. Mat work is a great choice for everyone from Pilates beginners to advanced students because the exercises not only can build in difficulty, but every exercise can be modified to decrease or increase the level of challenge. Practicing Mat Pilates helps build a strong, balanced body and increases flexibility. As you progress in your practice you will notice improvements in breathing, focus, stress management, and body awareness.
The progression of a workout starts in a horizontal position lying down, where gravity helps activate the core connection and progresses to a vertical sitting or standing. The Classical method centers on the 6 principles of Pilates: Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath, and Flow. The method incorporates more than 500 controlled precise movements created by Joseph Pilates.

Description
“Flow Yoga, or “Vinyasa Flow” combines a series of flowing postures with rhythmic breathing for an intense body-mind workout. In Vinyasa classes postures are linked together in a continuous and challenging flow and the common thread is a breath-synchronized movement that develops strength and flexibility while keeping students on the move. This style of yoga is a derivation of the practice of Ashtanga Yoga, a challenging and disciplined series of poses designed to create heat and energy flow. The many benefits of this class include building upper body strength, detoxification, mental and physical balance, flexibility, and stamina. Every class will be a different sequencing of postures that is specially designed by the instructor.

Description
*Pre-booking this Series is required. This is a Closed Course*
Yin is the cool, lunar, passive aspect of the Yoga asana (posture) practice. The asanas are held longer. It opens the deeper connective tissues versus the muscles and allows practitioners to experience greater range of motion, flexibility, and somatic awareness. Yin is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. By stretching and deepening into poses, we’re opening up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely.
The slower practice of Yin yoga brings the perfect setting to reconnect to oneself, and explore somatic resources to support emotional wellbeing. Beyond the physical and energetic benefit of the practice, each week we will explore different ways to resource yourself and regulate your nervous system. You’ll expand your inner sense of safety, alignment and groundedness. You’ll learn what works for you when you feel out of balance. It's an amazing practice when you struggle with anxiety, frustration, sadness, anger or you find it hard to slow down. The Yin practice will be supported by journaling prompts to guide you in implementing these tools into your life, and in experiencing a deeper level of connection to yourself and others.

Description
This disciplined practice covers the full Ashtanga Primary Series, a dynamic, fast-paced series of sequential postures transmitted by yoga master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Each pose is linked to the next through a series of connecting movements called vinyasa, allowing the body to create heat and leading to more flexibility. Smooth, deep breathing (ujjayi) is synchronized with the movements. This powerful and vigorous practice purifies and realigns the body, cultivating a feeling of inner peace, and leading to a natural state of meditation.
