SLOW DOWN and RELAX with Yin Yoga.
Yin is the cool, lunar, passive aspect of the Yoga asana (posture) practice. The asanas are held longer. It opens the deeper connective tissues versus the muscles and allows practitioners to experience greater range of motion, flexibility, and somatic awareness. Yin is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies.
