Description
This class weaves together Yin Yoga, meditation, and dharma exploration. We begin with Yin postures—long-held, supported shapes that open the fascia and meridians—creating space in the body and quieting the nervous system. From that stillness we transition into meditation, where attention is turned inward and the mind settles. The final part of the class opens into dharma: contemplations drawn from Buddhist psychology and related teachings, followed by open discussion.
This combination is both grounding and expansive. The Yin practice prepares the body, the meditation steadies the mind, and the dharma gives us a framework for understanding our experience and applying it to daily life.
What to Expect in Class
Class begins with Yin shapes, held for several minutes, to soften the tissues and allow energy to flow more freely. From there, we shift into guided meditation—sometimes breath-focused, sometimes reflective. After meditation, you’ll be offered a dharma theme to contemplate. There’s time for journaling and group discussion, so that insights can be written, spoken, and shared.
Expect to leave feeling spacious in the body, quiet in the mind, and connected to both personal insight and collective wisdom.
What to bring: soft, comfortable clothing, a water bottle, your journal and a pen. Mats and props are provided.
