December 6th Workshop: The Art of Wintering: Protective Practices for Body and Soul

November 29, 2025 • 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Beth Grannan
Yoga has been a steady support in my life since graduating college in the late 90s. I began my journey with more athletic forms of yoga, including Bikram and heated Vinyasa. Over time, as I moved through different stages of life, from pregnancy to being a new mom and now into midlife, my practice has naturally shifted and evolved to include more restorative practices. My teaching emphasizes mental and emotional balance as much as bringing physical comfort to your body. When I am not teaching, I work one on one with clients in my private yoga therapy practice in J.P. My love for learning has led me to many certifications over the past 20 years, including a 200-hour YTT from YogaSpirit Studios in 2005, 500-hour YTT from Barbara Benagh, and a 600-hour Yoga Therapy certification from Phoenix Rising in 2020. Additional certifications include Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy Training, Thai Yoga Massage, Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, The Art of Assists, Yoga for Anxiety and Depression, and Reiki Level 1.

Description

As the cold settles in and the days grow shorter, our bodies and hearts naturally turn inward.
Winter is an invitation to slow down. If winter has historically been a difficult season for you to
endure, this workshop is for you. Let’s shift our mindsets from surviving winter to delighting in
what can come from this reflective time of year. Join yoga therapist Beth Grannan for a nourishing yoga workshop exploring the protective layers we can create — physical, emotional, mental, and energetic — to move through the colder months with steadiness and grace. We will move from slow flow vinyasa to longer held restorative poses in this 90-minute workshop.
