Yoga has been a steady support in my life since graduating college in the late 90s. I began my journey with more athletic forms of yoga, including Bikram and heated Vinyasa. Over time, as I moved through different stages of life, from pregnancy to being a new mom and now into midlife, my practice has naturally shifted and evolved to include more restorative practices. My teaching emphasizes mental and emotional balance as much as bringing physical comfort to your body. When I am not teaching, I work one on one with clients in my private yoga therapy practice in J.P. My love for learning has led me to many certifications over the past 20 years, including a 200-hour YTT from YogaSpirit Studios in 2005, 500-hour YTT from Barbara Benagh, and a 600-hour Yoga Therapy certification from Phoenix Rising in 2020. Additional certifications include Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy Training, Thai Yoga Massage, Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, The Art of Assists, Yoga for Anxiety and Depression, and Reiki Level 1.

Description

Slow Flow Yoga is a gentle, mindful practice that links breath with movement at a relaxed, steady pace. In this class, poses are held a little longer than in faster vinyasa styles, giving you time to explore alignment, build strength, and deepen awareness of your body. The slower rhythm encourages a meditative state, helping to reduce stress while improving flexibility, balance, and overall mobility. Suitable for all levels, Slow Flow Yoga offers modifications and a supportive environment where you can move with intention, reconnect with your breath, and leave feeling grounded, calm, and refreshed.
