Marie is an experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT 500, Yoga Alliance) who has been deeply immersed in the practice of yoga for over a decade. Her path has taken her across the globe—from India to Indonesia—where she explored yoga not only as a physical discipline but as a way of living and being. As the founder of Vaya Yoga Studio, Marie has created a welcoming space where yoga becomes a journey of self-awareness, connection, and transformation. Her classes blend the mindful precision of Hatha Yoga, the dynamic energy of Vinyasa, the deep stillness of Yin, the musicality of Inside Flow, and the functional benefits of Surf Yoga. Through this integrative approach, she supports her students in finding presence, strength, and balance—on and off the mat. Now based in Portugal, Marie offers weekly classes, workshops, and retreats at her studio. Her teaching style is inclusive, encouraging, and rooted in the belief that yoga is for everyone. She aims to guide each student toward a deeper connection with themselves through conscious movement and breath.

After-Surf Yoga

Whether you’ve just returned from the ocean or are simply feeling the need to slow down—this class is your invitation to unwind, soften, and reconnect.

After-Surf Yoga is a grounding and restorative practice that focuses on releasing tension from the muscles used most during physical activity—especially surfing, but also hiking, walking, or working long hours. Expect gentle stretching, breath awareness, and long-held poses that calm your nervous system and support recovery.

We stay close to the floor and move slowly—offering your body a chance to release deeply and rest fully.
It’s not about doing more.
It’s about doing less—and feeling more.

This class is open to all levels and perfect for:
• Surfers looking to stretch and recover
• Active bodies in need of softness
• Anyone who wants to relax deeply and restore balance
• Yogis who prefer a slow, mindful pace

No experience is needed. Come as you are—tired, salty, sandy, or simply curious.

• A slow and supported floor-based practice
• Stretches for shoulders, hips, lower back, and legs
• Gentle breathwork & guided body awareness
• Calming transitions & moments of stillness
• A short lying meditation to close

• Online Booking: Reserve your spot online up to 30 minutes before class.
• Last-Minute Booking: Missed the cutoff? Just text or call us directly.
• Arrival Time: The yoga room opens 15 minutes before class. Please arrive between 15–5 minutes early to get settled.

If you still need to pay (Cash, MBway, or Revolut), please arrive at least 30–15 minutes before class to complete payment and secure your spot.

If you reserved a spot but haven’t paid online, your spot is not guaranteed.
To secure your place, please complete your payment at least 30 minutes before class—either online or at the studio. If the class is fully booked, unpaid spots may be given away.

• Cancel at least 1 hour before class to receive a class credit (depending on your pass type).
