Music and sound have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My love for electronic music and growing up near Seattle exposed me to all sorts of music, and over the years, my fascination with sound has only deepened as I started to explore DJing in college. As a former high school and college basketball athlete, I’ve always been interested in the science of the body and health, which led me to pursue a career in nursing. I earned a bachelor's degree in public health from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, and later completed my BSN at Duke University. Before finding yoga, I was a competitive CrossFit athlete. But when I met my wife, Allie, I was strongly encouraged (forced) to attend her yoga classes. What started as a reluctant experience quickly turned into a realization that yoga and meditation were the missing links I had been searching for. As my strength, mobility, and overall well-being improved, I transitioned to practicing yoga exclusively for both physical and mental health. Through this journey, I became an avid meditator—an experience that was nothing short of life-changing. My deep dive into meditation naturally led me to the transformative power of sound. After experiencing my first sound meditation in Asheville with Billy Zanski of Skinny Beats Sound Shop, I was mesmerized by the power of gongs and how ambient music could shift energy and consciousness. Later in meditation I received confirmation that creating my own ambient soundscapes was something worth exploring and sharing with others.   Now, as a sound practitioner, I blend my love for electronic music with ancient healing instruments, creating unique and transcendental sound experiences. My sessions feature gongs (my absolute favorite), synthesizers, native flutes, guitar, the didgeridoo, and other powerful instruments to elevate the collective vibration of those who experience them. I've been fortunate to study under incredible mentors, including Billy Zanski, who introduced me to the world of sound healing and the didgeridoo, and Mike Tamburo, one of the most renowned gong players in the country. Additionally, I’ve worked one-on-one with Colin Allured, an incredible musician here in Winston-Salem, to dive into music theory, the guitar, and explore ancient vocalization techniques. Through sound, I’ve found my true passion—helping others shift their energy, expand their consciousness, and experience deep relaxation and healing. I invite you to join me in this journey, immerse yourself in the frequencies, and feel the profound effects of sound.

Turn inward and attune to the intelligence of the heart đź’ś

Heart Centered Sound Meditation is a guided meditative journey designed to cultivate heart–brain coherence—a state where emotional clarity, nervous system regulation, and expanded awareness naturally arise. Rather than focusing on sentiment or relaxation, this session invites you into a deep, embodied experience of presence, connection, and inner alignment.

The experience begins with a guided meditation inspired by the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza, leading you into coherence between the heart and brain. Through intentional breath, attention, and elevated emotional states, the mind softens and the heart becomes the organizing center of awareness.

From there, sound takes over.

Using gongs, wind instruments, drums, live electronic synthesizers, and custom monaural beats, the soundscape entrains the nervous system and brain into meditative states where the heart’s rhythms can be felt, not forced. The layers of frequency and vibration support a quieting of mental noise, allowing the subtle intelligence of the heart to guide the experience.

Led by Medisynth (Louie Labate), this immersive sound meditation blends live acoustic instruments with ambient electronic textures, drones, rhythms, and pulsating frequencies designed to be felt as much as heard. The result is an active, intelligent meditation—bridging waking awareness and inner stillness—where insight, openness, and coherence emerge organically.

This session is open to all—solo practitioners, partners, and friends alike. No meditation experience is required—only curiosity and a willingness to listen inward.
