Music and sound have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My love for electronic music and growing up near Seattle exposed me to all sorts of music, and over the years, my fascination with sound has only deepened as I started to explore DJing in college. As a former high school and college basketball athlete, I’ve always been interested in the science of the body and health, which led me to pursue a career in nursing. I earned a bachelor's degree in public health from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, and later completed my BSN at Duke University. Before finding yoga, I was a competitive CrossFit athlete. But when I met my wife, Allie, I was strongly encouraged (forced) to attend her yoga classes. What started as a reluctant experience quickly turned into a realization that yoga and meditation were the missing links I had been searching for. As my strength, mobility, and overall well-being improved, I transitioned to practicing yoga exclusively for both physical and mental health. Through this journey, I became an avid meditator—an experience that was nothing short of life-changing. My deep dive into meditation naturally led me to the transformative power of sound. After experiencing my first sound meditation in Asheville with Billy Zanski of Skinny Beats Sound Shop, I was mesmerized by the power of gongs and how ambient music could shift energy and consciousness. Later in meditation I received confirmation that creating my own ambient soundscapes was something worth exploring and sharing with others.   Now, as a sound practitioner, I blend my love for electronic music with ancient healing instruments, creating unique and transcendental sound experiences. My sessions feature gongs (my absolute favorite), synthesizers, native flutes, guitar, the didgeridoo, and other powerful instruments to elevate the collective vibration of those who experience them. I've been fortunate to study under incredible mentors, including Billy Zanski, who introduced me to the world of sound healing and the didgeridoo, and Mike Tamburo, one of the most renowned gong players in the country. Additionally, I’ve worked one-on-one with Colin Allured, an incredible musician here in Winston-Salem, to dive into music theory, the guitar, and explore ancient vocalization techniques. Through sound, I’ve found my true passion—helping others shift their energy, expand their consciousness, and experience deep relaxation and healing. I invite you to join me in this journey, immerse yourself in the frequencies, and feel the profound effects of sound.

Description

Meditation can feel hard—especially when the mind won’t slow down.
That’s where sound becomes the gateway.

This is not your typical sound bath.

Most sound experiences are designed for relaxation or passive “healing.”
This experience is designed for meditation—for actually entering the state, not just hovering near it.

Allie will guide you into the practice by settling the nervous system and quieting the mental fluctuations of the mind—preparing the body like fertile soil. From that grounded state, sound becomes the vehicle.

Louie (aka medisynth) then takes over—blending ancient instruments with live electronic production in real time. Gongs, didgeridoo, flutes, and drums weave together with deep synth textures, rhythms, and drones—creating an immersive sonic field that pulls you inward.

The result is a deeply internal experience—a trance-like, expanded state of awareness…often described as psychedelic, without substances.

This is meditation you can feel. A direct pathway beyond thinking—into presence.

Whether you’re new to meditation or have an established practice, this offers a powerful way to access depth with less effort—and explore parts of yourself that are often harder to reach. No experience needed—just a willingness to go inward.
