Martha Anne Dorland is an archaeologist, educator, yogi, reiki practitioner and organic gardener. Martha Anne is a lifelong learner with a passion for cultural studies, the outdoors and wellness. Her attraction to both science and spirituality have led her to yoga and reiki because of their evidence-based approaches to healing and personal growth. Martha Anne has a gentle yet powerful teaching style; her calm clarity evokes comfort and release from her students.

Description

Yin Yoga is a slow, deep and calming practice. Poses focus on rejuvenating connective tissue (fascia, tendons and ligaments) to enhance your range of motion and flow of energy. Poses are held longer to safely stress the connective tissues. Yin Yoga calms and balances body and mind, increases mobility and flexibility, lowers stress levels and promotes relaxation. Yin Yoga is a great complement to yang activities and will vastly improve your ability to sit for meditation.
