Marjolein is originally from the Netherlands and now based with her family in Aotearoa. She began her yoga journey in The Netherlands with a classical hatha training and continued following trainings and teaching classes around the world. She have completed Yoga Alliance registered trainings in classical hatha yoga, pre-and postnatal yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra and transformational yoga.
She is a sincere yoga lover, dedicated mum, travel addict, foodie and nature lover at heart... Passionate about inspiring others to improve their wellbeing and live a joyful life.
Description
Perfect for new students who are curious about yoga or experienced students who are wanting a more gentle morning stretch!
Each class is 75 min. The first 45 min are more energising and activating, the last 30 min focussed on deep relaxation through restorative yoga poses or Yoga Nidra.
You will be introduced to:
- Guided asanas (postures)
- Surya Namaskar (sun salutations)
- Safe alignment and use of props
- Pranayama (breathing techniques)
- Relaxation tools, like Yoga Nidra
Casual drop in $20, 6-class pass $108.

For this indoor class the guidelines of the red setting of the traffic light system are being followed.
A proof of the vaccine certificate is needed to join this indoor class. You can email this to marjolein@yogaroots.co.nz.
If you are not vaccinated, then you can join one of the Outdoor morning classes in Long Bay park (see schedule to book).
This class is capped at max 6 spaces per class. There will be 1 meter social distancing between each mat.
Please bring your own yoga mat and blanket.
Please wear a mask when you enter and leave the space. You can take your mask off during the practice.
At the entrance you'll find the QR code to scan for contract tracing.
As spaces are limited there will be a waiting list for casual spaces.
Please do not come if you have any signs of cold or flu symptoms or a waiting for the results of a Covid test.
