Online
29 March 2021 •
11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Description
Time: 11am GMT
Class duration: 60 mins
Pace: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5
All levels welcome! No prior experience needed, moderate fitness a plus.
We will work on our: Strength, Endurance & Fitness
Starting with a strong series of Sun Salutations (A & B), we flow through Ashtanga standing series adapted slightly for the screen.
Expect to hold poses for a lot longer than any other class as we build strength and endurance, giving time to correcting our alignment, improve our poses with adjustments when needed.
Then we shall work on our flexibility with backbends, forward folds and twists, before closing off our practice with a carefully curated closing series and a well-earned Savasana.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga as exercise created by K. Pattabhi Jois during the 20th century, often promoted as a modern-day form of classical Indian yoga. It is a highly structured vinyasa-style class, the style is energetic, synchronizing breath with movements.
YwN Ashtanga classes are adapted for the best online learning experience and may not follow the exact traditional sequence. If you have any questions please feel free to ask in class, or via email or instagram :)
The Zoom link will be sent to you via email 30 minutes before class.
Set up:
Your Zoom Yoga Room will be open 10 minutes before class for you to set up your mat and position your laptop, phone or iPad in the direction of your mat. Many yogis heat their room before class but this is totally optional.
Props:
No essential props needed but you may find blocks and straps beneficial, also blankets and cushions are great for relaxing in Savasana.
See you on your mat!
Namaste,
Nat.
