Hatha Yoga is wonderful style of yoga that is taught at a slow pace and excellent for beginners and all levels of experience.

The class will include a demonstration of each pose and invite you experience these yoga movements in your own body to open, lengthen, build resilience and balance. Yoga will also help increase energy levels, strength & flexibility while also centering the mind. Hatha Yoga is an excellent practice to help reduce stress as it focuses the mind on the breath as you move.

Hatha Yoga is also suitable for all for students who are have not done yoga. Modifications and props are suggested to support or to deepen movements if you wish.

Our classes will give you the opportunity to take a yoga class which is designed to help you understand the postures and develop your own felt sense of experience for your practice. We explore breathing practices to enhance your health and learn to cultivate the practice of relaxation techniques.

As always, the part many of us love, we end each class with a deep and restful guided relaxation to send you into your day with clarity or to a restful evenings sleep!

These classes are also suitable for beginners and for those with experience looking to develop their yoga practice.

All students will automatically have virtual access and a 7 day access to recording. Great if you cannot attend the in-person class due to illness or are away.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
* A yoga mat.
* A small blanket
* A large blanket, cushion
* A yoga block (though not essential).
* Anything else that will make you more comfortable.
* Wear comfortable clothing and layer up for the guided relaxation at the end of class.
* Bottle of water to hydrate.

Please note that spare equipment will not be available so please remember to bring what you need!

* Make sure you fully charged your device. Give yourself time to check internet connections prior to class to make sure that all is working ok.

* Class will be open 15 mins prior to start time if you wish to check in and say hello! If you wish, light a candle and make your space as comfortable as possible. Maybe play some gentle backround music from another device if you wish.

Join Sonya for a deeply relaxing in-person event for a very special Autumn evening of beautiful sounds and deep relaxation as we bathed in the vibrations leading into deep rest. Often in our daily lives, we may feel at times fragmented, overwhelmed and exhausted with our endless daily tasks. So it's essential to take time slow down and pause and listen to the the body's cry for rest so that we can re-charge, become clearer and live with grace and ease through our days.

A Sound Bath is a powerful way to bring the body into a deep form of relaxation and ease. It works as the sound vibrations from gongs, himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, rattles, drums and other instruments such as chimes are used to create mesmerising vibrations of sounds that can help to release emotional and energy blockages in the body and stimulate healing in a gentle yet a very deep way.

Explore gentle breathing techniques and practices that will lead into a guided deep relaxation known as "yoga nidra" yoga sleep to settle body, mind and heart in preparation to receive the healing vibration of sounds.

BENEFITS OF SOUND HEALING:

IMPORTANT WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring a yoga mat to lie out upon.
Placing a blanket or rug over your mat for extra comfort may be nice.

One or two blankets to cover body for extra comfort and cosiness.

Please wear thick socks and layer up in comfy clothing as the body can cool down a lot when entering a deep relaxation.

A cushion or small folded blanket to support your head.

A pillow or bolster to place under back of knees to support the back.

Bottle of water and a snack to ground you after the healing.

Feel free to bring a pen and notebook if you wish journal your intentions or reflect after your healing.


CAUTIONS:
1. Extreme caution is advised when pregnant. First trimester and third trimester not advised to attend. Students who are pregnant are advised to place themselves in the room furthest away from the louder sounds.
2. Contra-indicated for sound sensitive epilepsy.
3. Caution if you have any metal plates in the body as this may cause discomfort with some of the sounds so it is advised to place yourself in the room furthest away from the louder sounds.
4. Students with a pacemaker NOT advised to attend.
5. It is advised to wait 3 months AFTER having surgery. Please consult your medical practitioner.


ABOUT SONYA:
Sonya is an Advanced Sound Healing Therapist and is a graduate of Celtic School of Sound Healing, a fully accredited training by the Complementary Medicine Association UK (CMA) and a full member of Association of Sound Healing Ireland (ASHI)

She grew up with music in her home and sounds has always been a big part of her life. She studied music and singing in her earlier life and this love of the relaxation and healing of music brought her to explore how music be expressed through the healings and teachings that she offer through her work today through her popular Sound Bath Healings events.
