Intro to Acro Part II
(If you didn't make it for part 1 don't worry, just come!)
Message from Hannah and Steven:
Bring a drink of water, if you have a thick yoga mat and wear clothes that allow you to move freely.
This session is open to all levels and you don't need to bring a partner, but feel free to if you want to.
We will be bringing a long a few people who are more experienced in acroyoga so whether you are into flying or basing or both there will be something for everyone. Get out of your comfort zone- or maybe get into it! with these two sessions that will be full of laughter, connection and a good deal of surprise!
You will find yourself doing things that you never believed possible because you are doing it as a team.
We cant wait to bring our joy of acro yoga to you!

Acro Yoga is a form of partner yoga, but with more emphasis on the playful acrobatic dimension of it. It brings in the playful, powerful and technical influences of acrobatics, so there’s lots of lifting your partner, and the healing qualities of the massage. The philosophy of yoga embedded in it takes it beyond just a physical practice, as we know with our regular yoga practice.
There are three roles in Acro Yoga. The Flyer, The Base and The Spotter.
This yoga social is an intro to Acro, and opportunity to fall / fool around under the guidance of excellent Acro Yoga specialists, Hannah and Steven Upritchard. The Acro community is a warm, inclusive space, people gather for Acro jams in parks all around the world to connect and have fun and find ways to deepen their own practice.
You are invited!

YOGA / COMMUNITY / MOVEMENT / DISCOVERY Yoga in the Stars is a project by The Metahealth Movement, a not-for-profit working towards elevated health. We are thrilled to announce that £9,943 has been donated to Yoga in the Stars by The National Lottery Community Fund for a special new project The Yoga-Social! The project is to create a space for people to come together around health and well-being. A free space to practice yoga, breathwork, movement, dance, tai chi and talk about health, food and lifestyle. Use the studio equipment and space in an open, inclusive and fun way. Expect spontaneous workshops and sessions, as well as a dedicated self-practice space, and we hope to invite other local yoga teachers to host sessions and workshops throughout the year to help grow and enrich the community. Reach out to us with ideas. Yoga really is for everyone, it’s a personal thing, and is a lifestyle choice that goes way beyond the mat and into every aspect of life, and we hope that this grant helps you to explore what this can mean for you as we discover together. #NationalLottery and the National Lottery players, thank you!
