Ayurveda is the traditional natural healing system of India and has been held in great reverence for over five thousand years. It is a system that is based on the five elements (earth, water, fire, air and space) and understands that every individual has unique needs and desires. As one becomes more interested and devoted to the study and practice of yoga, learning how to use this ancient science becomes of great interest.

Ayurveda and Yoga go hand in hand: Yoga is the spiritual aspect of Ayurveda and Ayurveda is the therapeutic branch of yoga. With its understanding of the rhythms of life and consciousness it is perhaps the most effective medicine available to us. Even a basic understanding of the principles and guidelines can help us to live healthier, happier and more meaningful life.

Join Elise Greenspoon for an afternoon of Yoga practice and Philosophy as we explore the basics of Ayurveda and how to apply them to daily life.

13:00-14:30- Hatha Yoga for the Doshas- a guided Hatha Yoga class exploring how to use yoga asanas to balance our unique constitution.
15:00-17:00- Ayurveda 101- Finding your own unique constitution and how to apply Ayurvedic principles to daily life.
