Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga as exercise popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois during the twentieth century. It is often promoted as a dynamic form of classical Indian (hatha) yoga. The style is energetic, synchronizing breath with movements. The individual poses (asanas) are linked by flowing movements (vinyasas).
In this class we will explore the first, primary series of this style in a safe mindful way.
