Tai Chi – Moving Meditation for Body and Mind
Tai Chi is a gentle and accessible practice suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. In this class, we will learn and practice the simple 16 Forms Tai Chi, a flowing sequence rooted in the ancient traditions of Qi (Chi) Gong and Chinese martial arts.
Often described as a moving meditation, Tai Chi combines slow, mindful movements with relaxed breathing and focused awareness. The practice helps cultivate balance, coordination, inner calm, and the smooth flow of life energy (Qi).
All movements are performed in standing postures, with careful engagement of the feet, legs, and core muscles. Because of its gentle and low-impact nature, Tai Chi is especially suitable for people who experience sensitivity in the joints or who find deep seated postures uncomfortable.
Benefits of Tai Chi include:
• Improved balance and stability
• Increased flexibility and body awareness
• Stronger legs and core muscles
• Better circulation and energy flow
• Reduced stress and a calmer mind
Come experience the art of moving with ease, presence, and vitality. Everyone is welcome.
