30-days Mobility Challenge

A challenge for anyone wishing to improve their mobility, the ability to move our joints through their full range, as pain-free and unrestrained as possible.

Over 30 days we will go through the whole body, strengthening and stabilising the joints, lengthening and releasing the muscles. Creating a well-oiled body with smooth and fluid movement. Where each body part does its share of whatever movement is performed, to not cause overuse (wear and tear) in some parts and underuse (tight and stagnation) in others.

Whether the body feel restricted and uneven from repetitive exercises or a stationary job we can all do with improving the balance and symmetry in how we move.

~ Learn what mobility, flexibility and the difference between the two really is
~ Improve your posture and core strength
~ Strengthen and stabilise the joints
~ Learn common causes for backache and what to do about it
~ Create a balanced movement through the whole body
~ Reduce the risk for injuries
~ Become more mobile

How it will work:
Every morning you will receive an email with:
~ A 30-minute yoga/mobility class that will be available for 24hrs
~ "Homework" movement to do throughout the day
~ Deeper explanations of the benefits of the classes/movements
~ Info and help on how to create a good routine
Who is it for:
You who would like to improve and learn more about your movement, to be able to move freer with less pain and restrictions. No matter your starting point, having a larger range of movement will benefit you in numerous ways.
What will you need - everything is optional, you can use other things you already have at home:
~ Yoga mat
~ Yoga Blocks and Bricks
~ Belt or scarf
~ Stretchy Band
How it may benefit you:
Mobility (as opposed to flexibility) is the range through which you can move your body parts with your muscles. I.e. not how far back you can push your left index finger against the table (flexibility), for example, but how far back you can move it by itself. By extending this range you are creating more strength at your end-range. This leads to more stable joints, fewer injuries, further reach and better blood flow into joints and ligaments.

Increasing your range of movement also means that your body will be better equipped to manage our modern lives. Especially through these next 4 weeks, we won't have the opportunity to work every muscle in the body through movement naturally occurring in our everyday life. So now would be an excellent time to add in some more intentional movement. Designed to help your body be as healthy and happy as possible.

This course will not be about force, or growing big muscles. But simply to continue to move our bodies, so that they can stay as useful as possible.

Cost:
£60 for the 30 days, 15hrs of yoga/mobility classes, plus more useful information.

I am so excited to share something new with you all! As I am sure you might know, I am very fascinated with how the body works and love sharing this in my classes.

Ylva is an experienced yoga instructor who specialises in mobility and healthy movement. Throughout this challenge, she will share her extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology which will help you understand how and why a movement will affect you.

The classes for the challenge will be sent out daily and will be deleted after 24hrs, so make sure you do one every day!
Each class will be roughly 30 minutes.
You will also receive "homework" to do throughout the day to keep you moving and improving.

The main focus will be on improving mobility in the spine and hips
