Description
As you might know, the mornings are my favourite time of the day.
It is this magical time where pretty much anything is possible, the day can go in any direction. It is not all luck, I do try quite hard to make my mornings luxurious. I try to include, morning light (whether it is sunny or cloudy this helps you sleep better), movement, stillness and a delicious breakfast.
I would love to share this with you guys!
This time we will focus on the hips and lower back.
Therefore, we will start the morning with a gentle, silent walk. Walking is an amazing way to gently warm up and loosen the hips and lower back, setting us up for the yoga class. The walk will be slow and gentle, but completely optional. If you don't want to come for the walk just meet us at the hall at 9.30 am.
A lot of us are now working from our "home office", just that it is not really an office, it is more of a dining room, with tables and chairs not being designed for working in. This and many other things can cause tightness around the hips and lower back. The colder weather can also increase tension in the middle of our bodies. So if you feel like your hips and lower back are giving you some grief, this will suit you! Through gentle movement and stretches, we will create more space for the hips and lower back to move freely. By practising moving the joints separately the sum will become greater than its parts. For example, if we let the whole body help with every movement only the most mobile parts will move. But focusing on moving each vertebrate a little bit by itself will result in a huge difference for the whole spine.
Included is:
* Slow, mindful walk in the beautiful country side
* Delicious tea
* Gentle yoga class with movement focusing on the hips and lower back - similar to the gentle morning flows we do
* Healthy snacks (let me know of any allergies)
* An email sent out the night before of how to prepare for Your Perfect Saturday Morning
Make sure you look after yourself, take time to fill up your own cup.
Now is the perfect time to improve your own health and wellbeing!
Remember to bring your own mat and equipment
I recommend:
- Good clothes and shoes for walking (the walk will go ahead even with light rain)
- Cozy clothes for yoga
- Mat
- Bolster or pillow
- Blanket
- Eye pillow or scarf to drape over eyes
* The walk will go ahead even in light rain, but is completely optional. If the forecast says it will be pouring down you will be notified the night before.
** In case of legal or other changes due to Covid-19 a full refund will be given
