Alisha Macedo
Hi, I'm Alisha, a yoga nidra teacher with a passion for culture and connection.
My teaching style draws on functional anatomy and neuro-affirming care. Through adaptive movement, intentional themes, and slower transitions, I create spaces to help you connect more deeply within and practice sensory attunement.
Grounded in yogic philosophy, my classes focus on bridging mind-body and nervous system awareness; exploring the body's innate ability to communicate when we allow ourselves to slow down enough to listen.
Description
Yinyasa combines the active style of a vinyasa flow with the slower pace of a yin practice.
In this class, practice connecting inward through a steady, strengthening flow, blending the continuity of breath and movement with the grounding qualities of intentional, slow transitions. Explore movement using sensation as your map, with guidance that pulls from earth elements, offering different ways into embodiment according to your own body.
Cycle syncing: ideal for follicular and ovulation phase, when a woman’s body may be craving more grounding, steadiness, and inward attention.
Themes: stability + strength, intentional movement, whole-body connection, mental resilience, focus, stillness, earth + fire
