6 Ways Yoga
Sam Tinkler
I was initially drawn to yoga to complement my gym based fitness. Within a few classes I was hooked, drawn by not only the effect Yoga had on me physically but also emotionally and mentally. Yoga teaches you how to really listen to, and connect with, your body, your breath, and your mind. This connection is fundamental not only to my own personal practice, but also to my teaching. Drawing from the flow of Vinyasa and Hatha yoga and also the more passive and longer held postures of Yin yoga, my classes include a combination of flowing postures and held postures, to challenge the body in different ways, enabling deeper exploration of the practice and all the positive effects that Yoga brings. I hope that you will leave my classes feeling not only more flexible, stronger and invigorated, but also calmed, balanced and restored.

Description

Welcome back to our studio sanctuary.
Join Sam for a gently flowing practice that transforms into Yin yoga. Find refuge in your practice in a warm and welcoming space to come home to yourself.

Begin by quietly connecting to your body and breath. Sam will guide you through a movement practice of flowing yoga. Moving with the breath supports your mind in becoming softly focused. Movement will be followed with an invitation to drop deeply into a series of floor based yin postures. Yin is a quiet, meditative practice that helps to balance body and mind. Yin works with subtle energy channels through the body to promote a feeling of wellness and vitality.
