Description
Restorative yoga is a slow and grounding practice and is also a quiet practice with plenty of space for silence and meditation. Vocal sound healing may be integrated in any practice through Nathie's singing, using vibrations to relax the physical and energetic bodies.
This class is designed to gradually open the body while prompting the Parasympathetic Nervous System to come online and initiate a healing response, and it can also calm the mind, release muscle tension and reduce stress and anxiety. In addition to healing, restorative yoga helps with injury prevention.
Restorative yoga practice complements exercise routines as well. In this class, we transition in and out of three to five poses total. Restorative yoga provides us with extra support using the wall, chairs, bolsters, blankets, blocks, and straps.
Guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra) is integrated in this class, holding everyone in a safe space of deep seeded nourishment, peacefulness and wellbeing.
This class is inspired by Nischala Joy Devi, Richard Miller (iRest), Judith Hanson Lasater ❤️.
NOTE: Props are provided within the Studio. If you have your own props you would like to use during class, such as eye covers or any other, you are welcome to bring them along.
