Yin Yoga for Winter: Kidneys

Yin Yoga is longer holds, sinking into a posture, and allowing yourself to be. The goal is to stretch the fascia (connective tissue of the body), rather than the muscles. Find a comfortable sensation in each pose, and then just let yourself breathe. The focus for this class it the kidney meridian, which runs from the bottom of the foot, up the inside of the leg, through the tailbone, and into the low back. Winter is a time when the kidneys need additional support, this class will help you nurture them, and increase the chi, or energy flow.
