Description

In this modified version of our Guided Ashtanga class, we take more time to arrive and settle in the poses, and spend slightly longer breaths in each pose. There is more time for the body to get used to the effects of each pose, and for the brain to learn and memorise each new movement. We go less for speed, more for quality. There will be fewer poses, and no jumping back and jumping through in between sides in the seated postures.

Designed for everyone, this class is good for those who find Guided Ashtanga too fast-paced, and for those who want to improve their current practice. There will be options for new yogis and advanced practitioners alike.

What's this Ashtanga thing again?

Equanimity in the burning fire. An enigmatic, intense practice filled with mystery and ‘aha’ moments. There is a fixed sequence (same poses every time). So every day you have a blind date with your harshest critic - yourself. Ashtanga has powerful effects on stamina, endurance, and mental strength, but really, the way it changes one's life differs for each individual.
