Laura Tierra

The first time I came to Iceland was for a yoga retreat in 2019. After that experience I could not stop thinking about this land, so I moved from Barcelona to Iceland three years later.
I finished my studies in Economics back in 2016 and since then I have been working in the corporate business.
Yoga has always accompanied my sporty lifestyle (basketball, running, swimming, boxing) and specially, it has always been my tool to develop my intuition and connection with my body and mind.
The yoga style I enjoy the most teaching is soft dynamic yoga (vinyasa), although I also enjoy integrating yin yoga in my practice.
In my opinion, practicing yoga can be as deep as you wish it to be. For many years I just took it as a physical exercise that makes me feel good and refreshed. With time, I also understood the deepness it offers when you integrate mind and breath. Ultimately, I encourage people to enjoy it and bring consciousness into the practice, with no expectations.
I teach the classes in English, although I am currently pursuing the 2nd year of the BA of Icelandic as a second language at the Háskóli Íslands.
