In 2005, Kat became a priest in the Hollow Bones Zen Order, an American Zen Buddhist Community. She combines the practice of Ashtanga Yoga and Zen Meditation and practice in both her teaching and her life. Her teaching style is a blend of fluid movement, breath and postures. She pays close attention to alignment and proper function of the joints.
After three years of study with Susi Hatley, in 2021, Kat became an International Certified Yoga Therapist. As a yoga therapist, Kat helps people move and feel better so they live with less pain. Are you looking for relief from pain? Kat can help.
Kat is registered with the Yoga Alliance, a national non-profit organization designed to support quality yoga instruction for the public, at the Experienced level, which allows her to train teachers and students. Kat and Ace will take you on a journey of movement, sound and spirit over this 7-week program!
From the base of your spine to the top of your head, there are seven major chakras. The word chakra comes from the sanskrit work for wheel or disk.
Within the body lie seven vital energy centers or chakras. These chakras correspond to major nerve ganglia glands of the endocrine system and various bodily processes such as breathing, digestion circulation and reproduction.
The practice of yoga helps keep these centers of energy clear and flowing for optimal health. Adding rhythmic sound enhances the experience and helps you return to your center. Come and join us on this journey down the central channel of the body. Over the next seven weeks will be be exploring the different chakras and how they effect our bodies. See you all soon!

Full Flow techniques tend to be more vigorous than Slow Flow, and we generally recommend that students are capable of enduring a higher rate of physical activity in this class. White both Slow and Full Flow have a foundation in Sun Salutations, Full Flow is often considered the “most athletic style” of yoga. At first, the class might feel more like a workout, but eventually, not only will the body have slowed and calmed itself, but so will the breath, heart, and mind.
This full practice of yoga is appropriate for students who have prior experience in yoga asana (movement and poses).

Join Amy and Karen for April's Full Moon! Continuing our journey of self-awakening, growth, creativity, balance, and connection, this ceremony will feature practices aimed at embodying and embracing our connection with ourselves and the community around us.
The Taurus-Scorpio polarity balances what's "mine" (Taurus) and "yours" (Scorpio), as well as form (Taurus) and transformation (Scorpio).
Taurus values material possessions and security, while Scorpio embraces change and shared resources. During a Taurus Sun, we appreciate simple pleasures, but under a Scorpio Moon, we delve into complexities.
Neglecting either side can lead to issues. The Full Moon urges us to find a balance. It prompts emotional expression, pushing us to release what's been building inside, especially of a personal nature.
