Heartbeat Drum Project

Description

A drum beat reminds our hearts and souls of our connection to Earth, to our Mothers, to All That Is. Each beat can send gratitude, prayer, hope, and so much more; using a drum infused with your energy for use in ceremony, prayer, healing, etc. deepens that connection. As you build your drum you have the bounty of communicating your intentions and creating a bond with your drum. Enjoy your hands working, your heart singing, and your soul sending excitement into each component. We will be building Cree-style single-head drums traditionally played with a finger drag and stick hit, which creates amazing vibrational depth.

Bonus workshop (while the hides soak): Radical Journey™, a strategic flow of music guiding a one-hour moving meditation, easing you past the boundaries of your body to your inner Self where wisdom and healing lie (wear comfortable clothing). We will be able to then implement what is revealed during this experience to deepen our intent for our drums.
