Pop up class!
Monday, May 8, 15, 22 at 10:00 with Hanna.
Please join us for a relaxed class setting focused on meeting each student’s practice, wherever it might be, in this moment. Whether you’re a parent who wants to practice with your young child present or a senior yogi that wants to soak up the youthful energy while keeping the movement slow, we welcome all to participate and relish in the community and fellowship that unfolds from practicing together.
We’ll offer a restorative vinyasa flow with lots of accommodations to work with your individual practice. Maybe you’re ready to get to business and practice your ability to tune out the distractions, or maybe your downward dog turns into a cave for a little yogi to pretend. It’s a judgement free, accepting way to bring a little ashtanga and a lot of support into your day.
standard rates apply (kids under 5 free)

Description
Yin-Yasa Yoga is designed to move the body to burn off excess energy (vin-Yasa), and then slow movements down with grounding postures (Yin) to prepare you for your evening. Beginning with Pranayama (breath) practice, then moving into sun salutations and standing postures to generate heat in the body. The second half of class will be an exploration of restorative floor postures to welcome you into relaxation. During our Yin-Yasa practice we will aim to increase circulation in the joints and flexibility in the muscle and connective tissue. We will close with a longer Savasana, followed by a guided Yoga Nidra (meditation/yogic sleep) to encourage a state of deep relaxation and conscious awareness.

Description
Our Full Flow Yoga Takes its inspiration and core from the Ashtanga Yoga tradition (Pattabhis Jois, Founder). This style relies more on synchronized breathing with each movement to produce beautiful, flowing patterns of motion and energy. Full Flow techniques tend to be more vigorous than Slow Flow, and we generally recommend that students are capable of enduring a higher rate of physical activity in this class. White both Slow and Full Flow have a foundation in Sun Salutations, Full Flow is often considered the “most athletic style” of yoga. At first, the class might feel more like a workout, but eventually, not only will the body have slowed and calmed itself, but so will the breath, heart, and mind.
This full practice of yoga is appropriate for students who have prior experience in yoga asana (movement and poses).
