Maria began practicing Ashtanga in 2020 under the guidance of Loreto Cortés and Daniela Gómez in Chile. After moving to Australia in 2022, she kept a devoted self-practice, staying true to what she had learned. Seeking to deepen her spiritual growth, she traveled 3 months in India, where she completed her teacher training in Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga.

Back in Australia, she began training with Olivier David, and soon after, her journey led her to Irantzu Rekalde with whom she still practices to this day.

She feels that approaching the practice with humility and honesty transforms it into a steady anchor through life.
