Description
Yin is a passive practice designed to get to deeper connective tissues so that over time you have more flexibility and mobility. It is practiced almost completely on the floor. Poses are held passively for longer periods of time using props for support. Although similar to Restorative, Yin is intended to stretch, or stress, tissues in a passive manner. This is a quiet, meditative practice. Self-Myofascial release using therapy balls is sometimes incorporated. Level 1
