Karla Freeze
Karla Freeze had been interested in yoga for several years, before attending her first yoga class in 2011. Yoga sparked a deeper connection that led to her journey of self-discovery. She started practicing yoga in a much larger body, furthering her self-care journey after weighing nearly 400 lbs. and being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
After reclaiming her health by transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle, Karla’s passion is to assist others in learning more about a whole food plant-based diet. A natural next step in her yoga journey included receiving her RYT-200 in 2018 and again in 2021.
Karla strives to create a safe, welcoming space in her classes where students will learn more about being in tune with themselves to inspire them on their own path.
Description
Restorative yoga is a gentle, slow-paced practice focused on deep relaxation, stress reduction, and restoration. Poses are supported by props and are held for longer periods. Restorative is similar to Yin with the important distinction that Restorative emphasizes relaxation and nervous system regulation. This is a quiet, meditative practice. Level 1
