Yin yoga is designed to get to deeper connective tissues so that over time you have more flexibility and mobility. It is practiced almost completely on the floor, lying down or seated. Poses are held passively for longer periods of time using props for support. Although similar to Restorative, Yin is intended to stretch, or stress, tissues. This is a quiet, meditative practice. Self-Myofascial release using therapy balls is sometimes incorporated. Level 1
