I started Balance for Life after seeing the swift decline of my Grandma after she had a fall. I realized that with my experience in personal training, yoga and qigong, I could help older adults stay strong, active and independent while building strong bonds and friendships along the way.
My classes combine Bo Yoga, Qigong, functional fitness and a variety of fun and effective balance practices. The class is standing and chair based and we use a BalanceBō, a flexible padded staff for stretching and support. No getting down on the floor and no mat is required. Classes are ideal for folks 55+ but anyone is welcome to join.
Nate Guadagni has been teaching yoga, qigong and personal training to older adults full time for almost twenty years. He is certified with Better Bones and Balance through Oregon State University, an ACE Senior Fitness Personal Trainer as well as a Holden Qigong graduate and E-RYT500 Yoga Teacher Trainer.
