Description
The school day doesn't end when the dismissal bell rings. Many children head straight into homework, activities, and busy evenings without ever having a chance to reset.
After School Reset: Yoga & Homework Club gives children the opportunity to unwind, move, breathe, and recharge before tackling homework. Each afternoon begins with a healthy snack followed by engaging yoga, mindful movement, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques that help reduce stress, improve focus, and support emotional regulation. Children then transition into a quiet, supportive homework period. If homework is finished—or there isn't any that day—they'll enjoy enriching activities like educational games, reading, creative projects, or mindfulness activities.
For parents, that means less evening homework stress and more quality time together.
This program is led by Michele Anderson, founder of Elevate & Play Yoga, who brings a unique blend of educational expertise and specialized yoga training. Michele spent 26 years as a public school special education teacher and has completed extensive training in children's yoga, mindfulness, developmental movement, and yoga for schools. She understands how children learn and how movement and mindfulness can help them build focus, confidence, resilience, and lifelong self-regulation skills.
After School Reset is more than an after-school program—it's a place where children can recharge, gain confidence, and leave feeling calm, capable, and ready for whatever comes next.
Early Bird (by 8/15): $185
After 8/15: $210
Sibling Discount: 10% off second child
Drop in (space permitting): $40

Jess Blake
Jess Blake (RYT-500) grew up in a family of athletes and always gravitated towards various types of movement, particularly as it related to fitness and athletics. But in her early twenties, it was in a yoga class when she realized that movement doesn’t have to have a goal. She discovered that movement could simply be a pathway for self-exploration, expression and pleasure. Jess completed her 200-hour yoga certification in 2009, followed by her 300-hour certification in 2011. With hundreds of hours of study in anatomy, restoratives, somatics, meditation, prenatal/postnatal, trauma-informed, and therapeutic style practices, her current classes are joyously informed by a love of humanity and a wonder for the natural world.
Jess’ hope is that students will leave her classes feeling more present; more embodied and aware of their aliveness and all that connects us. Jess was born in Utah, raised in Minnesota, and lived in NYC for 12 years before relocating with her husband and twins to the Hudson Valley, where they currently live in Clermont. Jess loves to dance, read, hike, swim, and drink coffee in the earliest hours of the morning.
