Description
A gentle, restful, somatic movement class with Evie, as a replacement for our usual Sunday morning yoga class - whilst Mary has the morning off.
What is somatics?
Similar to yoga, Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to healing that recognises that our emotions, experiences, and histories live not only in the mind but also in the body.
In Evie’s class, you’ll explore gentle practices—such as breathwork, movement, grounding, and mindful awareness—to help reconnect with our inner resources, release stored tension, and return to a more balanced and embodied state.
How is it different to yoga?
Yoga has deep spiritual roots in ancient Indian philosophy, somatics isn’t rooted in one particular tradition - however spiritual experiences often naturally arise from the presence and awareness built.
Who is Evie?
Evie (she/her) is a Somatics facilitator, Enneagram coach, and compassionate mentor dedicated to helping women reconnect with their bodies, intuition, and inner steadiness. Blending somatic practice with her expertise in emotional wellness, cyclical living, and the Enneagram, she supports women in moving from overwhelm into overflow. Her teaching is gentle, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that the body is one of our greatest teachers, a place where clarity, confidence, and calm naturally rise.
