Yin yoga blends a use of classical asana but held for longer periods with a Chinese Taoist philosophy of yin/yang balance of energetic opposites.

Yin offers a focus on moving slowly into longer, deeper stretching of our body’s connective tissues like ligaments and fascia.

The longer holds also enable a practice of stillness and meditation, which can help us to let go of mental clutter and listen to our bodies.

Evening yin classes will always have a seasonal theme and energetic focus. Sequences will contain a supportive balance between action and rest/stillness, with meditation and self-enquiry: a chance to nourish your whole self.

This class is not suitable for pregnant people. During pregnancy, please attend Alex’s pregnancy yoga classes as they’re the most suitable for your bodies needs.
