About Adrianne at Indyoga
Welcome to the first step to improving your well-being!
We are based and operate in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire and surrounding areas as well as offer a number of online classes through the week. Majority of our classes are suitable for beginners (some if you enjoy a challenge or learning on the go) to improver and intermediate levels as we offer a wide range of Yoga styles and functional movement classes.
Our ethos is to guide you in your journey to wellness in the safest and most rewarding way possible and have a host of activities on offer:
- Group, Corporate and Private Yoga tuition including Yin, Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, Senior, Chair and Well Woman
- Stand Up Paddle Boarding and SUP Yoga instruction
- Usii Reiki Therapy
All of which help bring fulfilment, flow state, movement medicine, fitness, joy, mindfulness and relaxation to daily life. A ‘one stop shop’ where you can find the right toolkit that fits YOUR lifestyle! We run a number of special workshops and yoga retreats throughout the year. Adrianne trained as a professional ballet and contemporary dancer, but after sustaining a serious back injury during her 5-year full time training she was forced to give up dancing and seek an alternative career path. While working as a Freelance Event Director in a demanding corporate and stress-filled environment for 27 years, Yoga became part of her therapeutics to manage chronic back pain and general physical & mental well-being. Her love of movement was re-introduced and the pain relieved and diminished! Now, as a registered ‘Real Flow’ Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin and SUP Yoga instructor and a Reiki Usui II Practitioner, Adrianne’s approach to life and teaching is fun, energetic and inclusive. Bringing free and functional movement using breath control, introducing the chakra system and adopting positive psychology to give a balanced yoga sequence to any level of practitioner wishing to find their ‘Flow state’ through Yoga on and off the mat.
Whilst supporting you to find the many benefits a regular yoga or movement practice can bring, my teachings embody a balance between physical, mindful and spiritual transformation through positive psychology as we introduce ‘Flow State’ to our lives, as well as light-hearted humour and of course optional fun and playful challenges to your practice.
