My Dad, Roger, started online Yin yoga with me in April 2020 at 83yrs of age and has continued every week for the last 3yrs. He has learnt a lot about himself, his body and particularly his breathing which he has never really done before. My dad has led a healthy, physically active and social life, and following open heart surgery at 80, this has been no different and he has continued his philosophy to be active, busy and keep the mind working with sudoku and volunteering.

This 30min sequence we did together (in 26 degrees) is a little Yoga practice anyone can do at any age. All you need is a chair. You can do this at home to keep your body moving, your joints mobile and give you some strengthening and flexibility as well as calm the mind and allow a deeper connection to yourself. Rewind Yoga is an evidence based Yoga protocol to address the health and well-being of an ageing population.

Please take modifications as you need through the practice and if you are just beginning a yoga practice please honour your body and not push it too much. Listen to what your body tells you and not just what we are doing on the screen.
