Soph West
Soph West (they/them) is a Hatha yoga teacher who is creating space free from judgement where we can meet ourselves where we are and move our bodies for the joy of it. Most of their career until this point has been working with children and young people in a variety of settings and countries. They currently work with autistic teenagers alongside teaching yoga. They are excited about creating a welcoming space for people to get curious about their connection to their breath and their bodies. For them practicing yoga feels like a homecoming and if they help anyone to feel home in their bodies too, then that is a beautiful thing.

Description

A yoga space free from judgement where we can meet ourselves where we are and move our bodies for the joy of it. We will start by warming up the joints and moving through some sun salutations before settling into restorative postures to calm the nervous system and settle the mind. I feel really excited about creating a welcoming space for people to get curious about their connections to their breath and their bodies. On our journey together we will explore many themes, starting with curiosity. For me practicing yoga feels like homecoming and if I can be part of anyone else experiencing their body as their home then that is a beautiful thing. This is your class as much as it is mine and I’m looking forward to developing this together. Our class, our community. With love, Soph x
