This class is very gentle and restorative in nature and has been created for those who might be feeling they can’t practice yoga due to reduced movement and flexibility in their bodies. This class is very gentle and we modify poses as needed as well as incorporate the use of yoga blocks, bolsters and straps when doing poses to help you stretch and release tight muscles safely and comfortably. As with all our other class styles, each class begins with a time of guided relaxation and deep breathing to help calm the mind and activate our rest and digest response. As we settle into stillness, and move into our heart space, there is an invitation to draw near to God and enter into His peace and rest as we reflect and meditate on a specially selected bible verse. We then move into our gentle stretching and balance poses integrating our mindful breathing. A soothing relaxation, using a calming lavender eye pillow will complete this gentle practice. You will leave feeling refreshed, recentred and restored.
