April 16, 2021 • 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Kelly Tibbets

Description

In our culture, Grief is mostly considered a mechanism to overcome the pain of losing someone to death. The truth is, Grief is a natural and normal reaction to loss - any loss - and we have lost much these last 12 months.

Join myself (Kelly) and Mary Sabbe for an evening of discussing grief and a yoga practice specifically designed to hold space for and manage grief. Mary has been a palliative care nurse for the past 10 years and through this journey of working with families and individuals experiencing grief of the lost of a loved one - she realized that there was a gap and often adults do not know how to help children process their own grief journeys. She now holds a certification in Children's Grief and Bereavement. During the Workshop portion of our evening together, Mary will help us process our grief in a peaceful and non-judgmental space, we will discuss ways to help support our kids and explore and validate all of the losses we have experienced due to the Pandemic.

The evening will be capped off with a Yoga practice specifically designed to hold space for your grief, acknowledge and possibly release some emotions surrounding loss and tools you can use in your yoga practice moving forward!

This Workshop is FREE to Unlimited Pass Holders and Bend Don't Break pass holders. Go to the "Class Pass" section to grab your ticket.
