Hi, I'm Jen.
For over a decade before I ever stepped to the front of a room to teach yoga, I was a dedicated student. My personal practise naturally gravitated toward stronger, more rigorous disciplines, which perfectly complemented my background in Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning.
I have a deep appreciation for the mechanics of building functional power. But structurally, we need more than just heavy lifting to thrive in modern life; your nervous system needs intentional space to regulate and rest.
That balance is exactly why I built MOKU. I specialise in teaching Hatha, Vinyasa, and the wonderfully dynamic movement of Mandala Vinyasa. Very soon, I will also offer Yin (for when you need to melt over a bolster and tune out the world) and Shake the Dust (a high-energy somatic release).
Whether you need to build bulletproof joints, flow creatively, or literally shake the Friday stress out of your body, I’ve got you covered.
See you on the mat.
Description
A highly focused, strictly mat-based class dedicated to 360-degree core stability. We step away from momentum, using slow, controlled movements to systematically build structural strength through the deep abdominals, obliques, and back. Designed to protect your joints and improve your overall functional power, this is a deliberate, hard-working session that provides the perfect foundation for all your other movement practices.

As a Registered Nurse with a PGcert in Clinical Education, my career in the health services sparked a deep passion for supporting others.
I combine my clinical background with my experience as a Professional Nursing Advocate, Schwartz Round facilitator, Advanced Communication Skills facilitator and Yoga Teacher to welcome you into a safe, supportive space designed for mindful yoga practice.
What makes me unique?
It is uncommon to find a registered nurse, teacher, advanced communication trainer, and restorative and resilience-based clinical supervisor who is also a trained yoga teacher.
My unique background allows me to offer a truly holistic approach to well-being.
Having experienced surgical menopause at age 39 and receiving a diagnosis of ADHD at 41, I profoundly understand the vital need for self-care for everyone, whatever your situation.
I plan to continue my education in Reiki, massage, mindfulness, restorative, and yin yoga to further help people unwind and realise the necessity of prioritising their well-being.
Description
This class is the antidote to the physical stiffness that comes with daily life. Rather than rushing through postures, we strip the pace right back to focus on conscious, deliberate movement. It is a slow, methodical, and highly accessible approach to unwinding the body. Whether you are looking to maintain your joint health, step onto a mat for the very first time, or want to move without the pressure of keeping up with a fast-paced room, this is where you start.
What to expect:
Pace: Gloriously slow and intentional.
Focus: Rebuilding balance, preserving everyday mobility, and mindful, structural stretching.
Vibe: A space where you can take your time and move exactly as your own body allows.

Description
A dynamic, full-mat practice that moves in every direction, not just forward and back. Each class centres on one of the four elements, Earth, Water, Fire, or Air, to bring a different focus to the body.
We start and end slow, with deep floor postures that work into the connective tissue. In between, the pace lifts into a strong, continuous Vinyasa flow that builds heat and asks you to work.
Expect to move a lot, breathe hard, and leave steadier than you arrived.

Teaching since 2014, my classes encompass the traditional Ashtanga primary series, fluid Vinyasa, meditation, and specialised yoga for pregnancy and postnatal care. My training began with Yoga Campus and has since evolved through immersive study with Uma Dinsmore Tuli and Yoga Like Water.
My personal practice has been a steady anchor through many life transitions, including three of my own pregnancies. Because of this, I am a big believer in the power of consistency, returning to the mat time and again to find both surrender and strength.
Beyond the studio, I have been based in North Devon since 2021, where my broader work is dedicated to holding space for others as a Doula, Grief Coach, and a support worker for women affected by the criminal justice system.
Description
There is a reason this traditional practice has survived for decades...it works. Ashtanga is a highly structured, flowing sequence of postures designed to completely realign the body, build functional strength, and quiet the mind.
Think of it as structural conditioning on a yoga mat. We move rhythmically through a specific series of sun salutations, standing postures, and seated folds. It is an active, physical practice, but it is deeply logical. We aren't doing complex acrobatics; we are just using our own body weight to build a highly resilient system.
What to expect:
Rhythm and Breath: We focus heavily on breathing deeply while moving, which completely resets the nervous system.
A Safe Challenge: It is a strong practice, but every single posture can be modified. You just do what your body allows on the day.
A Moving Meditation: Once you memorise the physical sequence, the practice stops feeling like a workout and starts feeling like a moving meditation.

Description
This class sits perfectly at the intersection of functional fitness and mindful movement. Designed to build cardiovascular endurance and structural strength without heavy impact on your joints, this session steps entirely away from the traditional gym format.
Expect a creative, full-body mix of dynamic primal mobility, yoga-inspired strength drills, and targeted core work. By training barefoot, we engage the entire kinetic chain to build deep, foundational stability from the ground up. It is a heat-building, purposeful practice designed to challenge your stamina while respecting the natural mechanics of your body.

Description
If you are comfortable with the basics and want to explore a slightly more energetic pace, this is a beautiful place to unroll your mat.
In this class, we string postures together into a continuous, creative sequence. It is a slightly quicker pace, making it a brilliant way to naturally build heat, stretch out tight limbs, and get out of your busy head for an hour. While we do explore some stronger poses, the environment is deeply supportive, and you are always encouraged to take it at exactly your own pace.
A gorgeous, full-body flow for anyone looking to add a little more movement to their week.
