Leah Conner
Leah (E-RYT 200, RYT 500) has practiced yoga, off and on, for 25 years, but in 2018 decided to gain more knowledge about the actual history and lifestyle of yoga by pursuing her 200-hour teacher training. She loved the training so much that in 2019, she completed another round of training and is now a registered 500-hour instructor. Her desire is to bring positive energy and compassion to the mat for everyone from beginner level to advanced. Leah loves the ancient teachings and sharing how yoga can help with healing both physically and mentally, from physical and/or emotional trauma, and how yoga is a powerful tool for achieving overall health. Yoga is wonderful exercise, but there is so much more to gain than physical fitness! Leah is certified in Yin, Restorative and Trauma Informed Yoga. In addition, she is a certified practitioner as a Life Coach and Emotional Body Mapping. Email Leah to schedule a life-coaching or private session.
Description
This class is included in the Bring a Friend Free Birthday Celebration.
Join Leah Monday, October 3 at 6:00 pm for a special Trauma Release Yoga class.
Trauma doesn't have to hold us hostage. There are MANY ways to process and deal with those things that have hurt us - some healthy, some not so much. It's through the healthy coping strategies that we can achieve true and lasting healing, and one of those strategies is to MOVE our bodies in safe, guided ways. We hold "issues in our tissues" - all of us - and movement is a way to begin to release those issues, beginning a process of healing physical and emotional pains that can hold us back.
Allow yourself an hour to move and feel and release in a safe, relaxed space. The cost of the practice is $10 (or included in your monthly pass or punch card. The practice will be suitable for all levels, even if you've never done yoga before.
