Clarice is a 200-RYT who earned her certification in 2023 at One Soul Yoga. She has practiced
yoga since 1990 in various locations across the globe and has attended and taught yoga retreats in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and overseas in Greece, Costa Rica, Germany, Sweden, Austria, and Italy. Clarice is skilled in Hatha Yoga, familiar with Yin yoga, and restorative yoga. In addition, Clarice holds certification as a Master Herbalist and is interested in Holistic Health and wellness. Clarice feels that yoga and meditation have given her the framework for a healthy happy life, and she enjoys the practice and teachings of yoga. Clarice wants to offer the mobility and flexibility benefits of yoga to everyone. Aging with full mobility and flexibility is a personal goal of hers.
Description
Empower Hour will focus on working through traditional postures, seated and standing, by matching breath to movement throughout the practice. Class will start with slow centering techniques, including stress release and intention-setting, in order to get the most out of the practice and carry the benefit throughout the rest of our day/week. This class will move with intention incorporating poses that focus on larger muscle groups in controlled movements to build foundation and encourage grounding. This class is specifically designed to allow you to tap into your own power, mentally and physically. You will leave this practice feeling centered, encouraged, and ready to move in and through the world with confidence and strength, recognizing that you already have all that you will ever need, that you are enough. The class is suitable for all levels, and modifications will be explained to allow for decreasing or increasing levels of practice.

Libby is back with a popular pop up: Yin on the Wall.
Yin on the Wall starts with stretching and breathing, but halfway through we lie on our mats with legs up the wall to allow gravity to gently assist us into a deep, long-held hip opening sequence.

Move & Flow Express is a shortened 40-minute midday practice to help you gain flexibility, balance and strength while flowing through yoga postures linked with breath. Bailee is a Certified 200 HR Yoga Instructor, who completed her training with Practice Everywhere. She initially started her fitness journey three years ago after her third child was born. She fell in love with her routine, the results and how it made her feel! Her true passion is Power Yoga. Bailee believes building strength on your mat will prepare you for those hard moments off the mat. She has a desire to share that showing up for yourself is half the battle! The other half is giving yourself grace.
Description
Power Yoga with Bailee is an active-full body vinyasa based class open to all levels. We will be moving breath to movement, incorporating intervals, and focusing on alignment, strength and mobility. She loved the training so much that in 2019, she completed another round of training and is now a registered 500-hour instructor. Her desire is to bring positive energy and compassion to the mat for everyone from beginner level to advanced. Leah loves the ancient teachings and sharing how yoga can help with healing both physically and mentally, from physical and/or emotional trauma, and how yoga is a powerful tool for achieving overall health. Yoga is wonderful exercise, but there is so much more to gain than physical fitness! Leah is certified in Yin, Restorative and Trauma Informed Yoga. Description
Perfect for getting over that mid-week hump, Reset + Restore is a great combination of active movement and active rest. About half of this class will focus on stretching and flowing through common foundational poses both seated and standing, while matching breath to movement. The second half of this class will focus on restorative yoga, a form of active rest in which the mind, body, and spirit are given the time and space to renew, recharge, and restore. This practice centers on slowing down, centering, and heart-opening through passive stretching. We practice stillness and very gentle movement for extended periods of time throughout the practice through fully supported poses that are each held for 3-5 minutes. This class will also spend time practicing Mindful Meditation with a focus on the awareness of our senses and feelings without interpretation or judgment. Practicing Mindful Meditation incorporates breathing techniques and meditation practices to help relax the body, clear the mind, ease the spirit, and reduce stress.

Join Leah on Saturday, August 30 at 8:00 pm for our monthly full moon ceremony to welcome in the August 30 Full Moon. We'll discuss the meaning and significance of this month's full moon, practice chandra namaskar (moon salutations) together, enjoy savasana with moon meditation, and end the evening with a burning ritual to release what no longer serves us. Everyone is welcome to the studio for this in-person event.
