Leah (E-RYT 200, RYT 500) has practiced yoga, off and on, for 25 years, but in 2018 decided to gain more knowledge about the actual history and lifestyle of yoga by pursuing her 200-hour teacher training. She loved the training so much that in 2019, she completed another round of training and is now a registered 500-hour instructor. Her desire is to bring positive energy and compassion to the mat for everyone from beginner level to advanced. Leah loves the ancient teachings and sharing how yoga can help with healing both physically and mentally, from physical and/or emotional trauma, and how yoga is a powerful tool for achieving overall health. Yoga is wonderful exercise, but there is so much more to gain than physical fitness! Leah is certified in Yin, Restorative and Trauma Informed Yoga. Get your week kicked off right with mindful movement and intention-setting in Leah's 8:30am hatha yoga class. We'll match movement to breath and intention, building just enough heat, and spend time in some quiet, deeper stretches, as well. Emma earned her 200-hour certification from One Soul Yoga in 2023. She started her yoga journey at One Soul in 2021 and fell in love with the atmosphere of the studio and the benefits of yoga. She would love to provide those same feelings for others through her classes - creating a safe, judgment-free space to work on our practice. Her other passions are coffee, plants, and books. Her loves are her husband and her dogs!
Description
This yoga class is a gentle flow suitable for any level of student who wishes to spend time soaking in the energies of the studio while stretching the muscles of the body and freeing the mind. Variations and modifications will be offered for most postures in order to be suitable for all levels. We will end the class with an extended savasana and may be outside depending on the weather. Props and mats will be available for this 40 minute class.

Rachel (CYT 500) began practicing yoga in 2014 at Brick House Yoga in Sulphur Springs. She was training for a half-marathon at the time and wanted to use yoga to prevent injury and aid in stress relief to reduce migraine headaches. While a yoga practice was perfect for both of these goals, she found so much more on the mat. Without a doubt, the yoga mat is the first place she has ever experienced complete non-judgment. It is where she learned self-acceptance, presence and stillness--and it is where she started a journey of self-discovery that continues today. In short, yoga changed her life. She holds additional certification in Restorative, Yin and Trauma Informed Yoga and has a special interest in teaching body-positive classes and classes geared for beginners.

Empower Hour will focus on working through traditional postures, seated and standing, by matching breath to movement throughout the practice. Clarice is a 200-RYT who earned her certification in 2023 at One Soul Yoga. She has practiced
yoga since 1990 in various locations across the globe and has attended and taught yoga retreats in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and overseas in Greece, Costa Rica, Germany, Sweden, Austria, and Italy. Clarice is skilled in Hatha Yoga, familiar with Yin yoga, and restorative yoga. In addition, Clarice holds certification as a Master Herbalist and is interested in Holistic Health and wellness. Clarice feels that yoga and meditation have given her the framework for a healthy happy life, and she enjoys the practice and teachings of yoga. Clarice wants to offer the mobility and flexibility benefits of yoga to everyone. Aging with full mobility and flexibility is a personal goal of hers.
Description

Lunch Flow: Move is a shortened gentle 40-minute midday practice to help you gain flexibility, balance and strength while flowing through yoga postures linked with breath. Class will start with centering and breath control and then flow through seated, standing and supine postures. This shortened practice is a perfect way to boost your productivity and help get you through the mid-day slump. Practice always ends in savasana to bring you back to your center. Candlelight Immersion focuses mainly on seated somatic, self-inquiry and stress-reducing techniques (self-holding, EFT tapping, breathwork) and supine asanas to help you quiet your mind and connect to your body and breath. Yin Flow is a slow-moving but powerful classic yin yoga practice appropriate for all levels. Traditional asanas are practiced, but held for longer periods of time, increasing flexibility and bringing a more meditative approach to your practice. Yin will leave you feeling like you’ve had a good workout, but also relaxed and focused.

Have just a few minutes to spare for yoga? Stretch & Flow Express is a shortened version of the 8:00 am class. This 40-minute mid-day class focuses mainly on deep stretching and slow-moving sequences held for several breaths to help loosen the body and reduce tension. The slower pace allows each individual to explore their own postures and alignment to deepen their practice. At times, class will explore meditation and aspects of yin and/or restorative yoga for relaxation and healing. Perfect for those looking to gain flexibility and range of motion. Join DeAnna for a special Winter Solstice Yin & Yoga Nidra practice on Thursday, December 21 from 6:00-7:15 pm to celebrate the longest night of the year. For yogis, the Winter Solstice is a reflective time of new beginnings and intentions for the coming year. In this special practice, we will create a sacred space and harness the quiet, deeply nourishing energy of the season through a gentle yin sequence and restful Yoga Nidra. Our Yoga Nidra session will allow us to honor the down time, restore the mind and body and reflect on what may serve throughout the coming winter months. A perfect way to flow into the holiday season.

Micki (RYT 200) is engaged, the mom of three teens and is currently a Special Education Aide at S.S.I.S.D. After teaching in the childcare setting for over 15 years, she realized something needed to change about how we
are addressing the behavior of kids nowadays. She started her own practice of meditation and inner child healing in January of 2020. And discovered that focusing inwardly is the first (and most important) step toward becoming a better teacher and parent. Introducing breath work, balance challenges, fun books and games to her students has improved their outlook in the classroom, on the mat, and out in the real world. “I want our children to feel a sense of community here, to be welcomed and
heard.” Obtaining her 200 hour certification from One Soul Yoga in 2023 has been one of the most monumental achievements of her life, because making a difference in the youth of today is her ultimate goal!

Drop the kids off at One Soul on Friday, December 22 from 6-8 pm and take some kid-free time for holiday prep, gift wrapping or use it for a special date night out! Micki has put together a holiday workshop just for kids to explore the festive season through fun yoga games, themed-crafts and yummy snacks. We will work on balance and strength through yoga poses, breathwork and mindfulness activities to foster self-awareness. All of this happens while having fun, laughing, and fostering the imagination!
Yoga is a way for kids to stretch their bodies and minds and provides tools to support kids balance, coordination and focus. Yoga teaches mind and body awareness and allows kids space to explore their present moment experience and self-regulation. One Soul is a fun and safe environment for your kiddos to have fun and celebrate.
This workshop is appropriate for ages 4 and up.
Registration tips: Our system does not allow for account for children without a separate email address, so please register the parent that is responsible for the child and in the “notes” section please add the name and birthday of the child/ren you are signing up. Thank you!

DeAnna McDearmont
DeAnna McDearmont is a co-owner of One Soul Yoga & Wellness Center in Sulphur Springs, TX and a dedicated Trauma Informed E-RYT 500, YACEP-certified yoga instructor, serving as the lead trainer for Yoga Teacher Training programs. She is a passionate yoga and sound facilitator dedicated to empowering others on their journey to wellness and self-discovery.
As a certified practitioner of Biofield Tuning and Sound Healing, she uses the transformative power of sound and energy to support profound release and shifts in the subtle body. DeAnna brings a wealth of experience and a nurturing approach to every class, retreat, and sound healing session she facilitates at One Soul.
Holding additional certifications in Kundalini, Meditation, Yin, Restorative, and Trauma-Informed practices, DeAnna blends compassion and expertise in her teaching and offers safe, accessible and nurturing practices for all levels. She empowers students to explore their unique needs by encouraging body awareness and connection with body and mind.
Her teaching philosophy integrates ancient wisdom with modern techniques, inspiring students to deepen their understanding of yoga, sound, and energy work. With a heart-centered approach, DeAnna’s mission is to hold space for personal growth, healing, and connection through yoga, meditation, and sound.
She offers group yoga classes, sound baths and private Biofield Tuning/tuning fork and sound sessions at One Soul.
Description
Join one of the One Soul instructors on Saturday morning for Saturday Flow to get your weekend moving. This class will vary each week depending on the instructor but will focus on a sequenced practice that encourages alignment, balance and mind/ body connection. This class will end in a relaxing savasana to help you release and connect within. Saturday Flow is appropriate for all skill levels and variations will be offered to increase or decrease your practice needs.
