She would love to provide those same feelings for others through her classes - creating a safe, judgment-free space to work on our practice. Her other passions are coffee, plants, and books. Her loves are her husband and her dogs!
Description
Get your week kicked off right with mindful movement and intention-setting in this 8:30am hatha yoga class. We'll match movement to breath and intention, building just enough heat, and spend time in some quiet, deeper stretches, as well. It's the perfect way to get your mind and body ready to tackle a new week.

Rachel Finney
Rachel (CYT 500) began practicing yoga in 2014 at Brick House Yoga in Sulphur Springs. She was training for a half-marathon at the time and wanted to use yoga to prevent injury and aid in stress relief to reduce migraine headaches. While a yoga practice was perfect for both of these goals, she found so much more on the mat. Without a doubt, the yoga mat is the first place she has ever experienced complete non-judgment. It is where she learned self-acceptance, presence and stillness--and it is where she started a journey of self-discovery that continues today. In short, yoga changed her life. She holds additional certification in Restorative, Yin and Trauma Informed Yoga and has a special interest in teaching body-positive classes and classes geared for beginners.

PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE--CLASS BEGINS AT 4:45 pm
Empower Hour will focus on working through traditional postures, seated and standing, by matching breath to movement throughout the practice. Class will start with slow centering techniques, including stress release and intention-setting, in order to get the most out of the practice and carry the benefit throughout the rest of our day/week. This class will move with intention incorporating poses that focus on larger muscle groups in controlled movements to build foundation and encourage grounding. This class is specifically designed to allow you to tap into your own power, mentally and physically. yoga since 1990 in various locations across the globe and has attended and taught yoga retreats in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and overseas in Greece, Costa Rica, Germany, Sweden, Austria, and Italy. Clarice is skilled in Hatha Yoga, familiar with Yin yoga, and restorative yoga. In addition, Clarice holds certification as a Master Herbalist and is interested in Holistic Health and wellness. Clarice feels that yoga and meditation have given her the framework for a healthy happy life, and she enjoys the practice and teachings of yoga. Clarice wants to offer the mobility and flexibility benefits of yoga to everyone. Aging with full mobility and flexibility is a personal goal of hers.
Description
This vinyasa-based yoga class starts seated in warm up, then works up off the mat for kneeling, and standing poses. We flow into warrior sequences, sun salutations and traditional stretching, bending, twisting, and folding yoga asanas. This class also incorporates some holding poses (Yin style) to help us build our strength. Active Flow n Go moves at a stress-free pace and is good for all level of students.

Lunch Flow: Move is a shortened gentle 40-minute midday practice to help you gain flexibility, balance and strength while flowing through yoga postures linked with breath. Class will start with centering and breath control and then flow through seated, standing and supine postures. This shortened practice is a perfect way to boost your productivity and help get you through the mid-day slump. Practice always ends in savasana to bring you back to your center. This class is suitable for all levels and variations will be offered to help increase or decrease your practice needs.

Description
Let's move, shake, play and flow to the rhythm in this fun and active class for adults! This class will explore the use of props for variations on poses (hula hoops, straps, blocks). We move and flow with Ecstatic Dance music to keep us motivated and active for most of the class. A wind down and savasana in the last 15 minutes brings us back to a peaceful ending to our practice. This class is fast paced and is good for all levels of students who are active and willing to dance, play and shake their bodies!

Have just a few minutes to spare for yoga? Stretch & Flow Express is a shortened version of the 8:00 am class. This 40-minute mid-day class focuses mainly on deep stretching and slow-moving sequences held for several breaths to help loosen the body and reduce tension. The slower pace allows each individual to explore their own postures and alignment to deepen their practice. At times, class will explore meditation and aspects of yin and/or restorative yoga for relaxation and healing. Perfect for those looking to gain flexibility and range of motion. Class always ends in savasana. Stretch & Flow is suitable for all skill levels.

Summer Solstice is a perfect time to slow down and infuse your skin care routine with the transformative power of the season. Join us to learn how to make cold processed all-natural soap and a soothing salt scrub from start to finish. We will use all-natural ingredients including essential oils and dried herbs and flowers--no synthetic fragrances. You will create your own 42 oz soap batch that will be ready to take home in about a week (due to curing). Body scrub will be ready to take home that evening. These will help soothe and deeply nourish your skin during the hot summer weather.
Our one-day mini retreat also includes a charcuterie grazing box, complimentary wine (for 21+) and an evening solstice meditation and fire.

Summer Solstice is a perfect time to slow down and infuse your skin care routine with the transformative power of the season. Join us to learn how to make cold processed all-natural soap and a soothing salt scrub from start to finish. We will use all-natural ingredients including essential oils and dried herbs and flowers--no synthetic fragrances. You will create your own 42 oz soap batch that will be ready to take home in about a week (due to curing). Body scrub will be ready to take home that evening. These will help soothe and deeply nourish your skin during the hot summer weather.
Our one-day mini retreat also includes a charcuterie grazing box, complimentary wine (for 21+) and an evening solstice meditation and fire.
